This is who we are.

Au Courant was founded as an independent event planning and travel staffing company in February 2011. Our clients have ranged from smaller, boutique companies, to various Fortune 200 companies in the sectors of banking, technology, energy, agriculture, medical, insurance and automotive. Since inception our staff have worked more than 4,000 cumulative days and we have tripled our client base within the past year.

Au Courant strives to assist our clients with all aspects of their events, large or small.

Karen Meyer Ruiz, CMP is the Principle and CEO of Au Courant Events. She began her career working for DMCs in Colorado before going on to work for Carlson Marketing Worldwide as a Travel Director. Karen has over 15 years experience on more than 500 events ranging from 25-50,000 participants. Clients of hers include numerous Fortune 500 companies with events in over 13 countries, including the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.

Karen’s background includes high-end meeting planning covering both meeting and incentive travel, specializing in Food & Beverage and Special Events.
